some feedback at a wonderful end-of-year activity of the Zachor v'Kabed program at Tel Aviv. Zachor v'Kabed: Remembering the Past and Honoring the Present through Study and Personal Contact is a national Hillel Israel project in which students learn about Holocaust-related issues and do volunteer work with Holocaust survivors. Inbar, the project coordinator at Tel Aviv Hillel, submitted the following congratulations to Hillel on the 85th birthday, from Zachor v'Kabed participants:
Dear Hillel, you have given me the opportunity to come and learn, but most of all to face my conscience and live with a full heart, knowing that my life will add a little bit of "giving" to a world that is mostly "taking." I wish that everyone would feel this way! (Alon)
Way to go! May your projects continue for a long time, and draw Jews from all over the world! (Shir S.)
To Hillel! Mazal tov on your 85th birthday! Thanks to you I've learned many new and important things. I've met many wonderful students, and of course the dear survivors. Thank you for a great year! May you have many more years in which lots of students will be able to take part in this project! (Sagit)
Hillel! Thank you for a wonderful year. I hope we'll see each other next year too! (Anat)
Dear Hillel, Mazal tov! It's unbelievable how far you've come – in years, and also in size and scope! I've known you for three years now, and hope that our relationship will continue. I wish you all success! (Inbar, project coordinator)
