Full Time Position for NYU Tel Aviv:
Office Manager

NYU (New York University) opened its 10th global site in Tel Aviv in September 2009.
The NYU model is based on creating an independent academic center, which recruits local faculty who teach in English. Students engage in a wide range of co-curricular activities and traveling excursion immersing them in the local and regional culture.
NYU in Tel Aviv faculty and staff are committed to creating a Center where active learning and exploration are the norm. Courses and projects rooted in the community, field-based research, and internship opportunities give students entrée to domains of Israeli society and culture that casual visitors never see.

NYU Tel Aviv seeks a full-time Office Manager
Basic Function: Daily running of the administrative office and logistics for the program.
Provide administrative support to the staff and faculty.
Ongoing communication with staff, faculty, students, vendors, service providers.
Ongoing communication with NYU's global office and academic administrative staff.

Characteristic Duties:
OFFICE
- Tracking student registration
- Library management (ordering from NY and tracking students book loans in TLV)
- distributing mail, mailing items, courier service, UPS
- answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages
- making copies (for other staff members, faculty, students)
- ordering office supplies
- making appointments for staff

COMMUNICATION WITH STUDENTS AND PROFESSORS
- helping students and professors with their questions, being a helpful, welcoming presence.
- writing events and information for students on the bulletin board
- keeping track of professor absences and informing students of changes in class times

OTHER
- Writing and distributing evaluations in conjunction with NY and TLV staff
- attending and helping organize welcome and farewell dinners and other events
- attending student trips and excursions

Qualifications:
Fluency in Hebrew and English including reading and writing.
High proficiency in Office and other computer programs.
Excellent communication skills.
Highly organized and efficient.
Team-player.
Willingness to work unconventional hours and weekends.
Experience with young adult programs and activities an advantage.
